Bringing EKE™ to Japan with Three-Up Technology
A partnership with Three-Up Technology in Osaka to bring PixeVision's EKE™, an AI knowledge engine for the factory floor, to Japanese manufacturers. I sourced, negotiated and closed it on site, in Japanese.
The partnership
On 18 May 2026, PixeVision announced a strategic partnership with Three-Up Technology (株式会社スリーアップ・テクノロジー), a Japanese specialist in industrial IoT and AI for manufacturing. The announcement describes Three-Up as having more than 26 years of factory experience and more than 50 IoT and AI implementations, working with both legacy and modern equipment. Three-Up introduces EKE™ to manufacturers in Japan.

What EKE™ does
EKE™ (Embedded Knowledge Engine) is PixeVision’s AI knowledge management system for the factory floor. The announcement links it to a problem Japanese manufacturers face: engineering know-how leaving as experienced engineers retire.
- Knowledge capture: SOPs, maintenance logs and engineers’ expertise in one searchable knowledge base.
- Data unification: MES, ERP and PLC systems connected into a single AI layer.
- Instant answers: operators and engineers ask questions in chat and get answers in context.
- Workflow automation: routine data queries and reports handled automatically.
The first joint project
For the first project with a Japanese client, we defined the joint solution:
- Live PLC tags extracted into SQL.
- AI agents generating SCADA dashboards on top of that data.
- MES to ERP data linkage.
Three-Up’s demo wall: PLCs, an HMI touch panel, I/O modules and an edge PC.
My role
Partnership Lead. I sourced, negotiated and closed the partnership with Three-Up Technology on site in Osaka, in Japanese, and kicked off the first joint project.
